Mar 12, 2014 GIVEAWAY: Green Gables Knits Although it's been a long time since the blog post of me starting my Diana's Hat, it really didn't take long to knit at all. This quick knit, slouchy hat was a fun and relaxing knit. The brim had just enough detail to keep my needles interested and yet I didn't find I needed to keep reading the directions on what to do next. This easy to wear hat will soon be giving to a friend for her birthday. I think she'll love it! This is just one of the beautiful patterns found in Green Gables Knits. Fellow knit wear designer and friend, Joanna Johnson is the author behind the treasured book. The book is inspired by the children's classic, Anne of Green Gables. Inside the book you'll find eight beautiful patterns designed for men, women and home. Each design is accompanied by quotes from the novel, as well as personal photographs from L. M. Montgomery's (the author from the Anne of Green Gables) personal collection. The patterns and the book itself are so thoughtfully designed - it's a true treasure to have in your knitting library.
